We Stand Together for More Women Leaders (Twe Let Nyi Nyi) Campaign held in Kyunn Su Township,Tanintharyi Region

On 28 August 2018, Sadar Shein, a participant of She Leads @ Women Leadership Training shared the knowledge she acquired at the Women’s Leadership Training and conducted We Stand Together for More Women Leaders (Twe Let Nyi Nyi ) campaign at Sa Tain village, Boke Pyin Township, Tanintharyi Region. 27 interested attendees joined the sharing session and the campaign. We Stand Together campaign is a campaign to promote more representation of women and women’s leadership in politics and decision-making in Myanmar. The Fourth Asia Electoral Stakeholders Forum conducted in Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Election Commission of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Asian Network for Free Elections (ANFREL), invited Yaung Chi Thit to participate in the 4th Asian Electoral Stakeholder Forum (AESF IV), which was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 27 to 28 August 2018. 

The forum is the most celebrated gathering between Election Management Bodies (EMBs) and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Asia. AESF is a continuing engagement among stakeholders to discuss issues that affect and characterize the conduct of elections in contemporary Asia. There have been three successful gatherings since it was first launched in 2012: AESF-1 in Bangkok, Thailand (2012), AESF-2 in Dili, Timor-Leste (2015), and AESF-3 in Bali, Indonesia (2016). She Leads Talk (Yangon)

She Leads Talk is a discussion session and is one of the activities under the She Leads Program. The first She Leads Talk was held on the topic “Women and Law” on 28 July 2018 in Yangon. In the talk session, director of the Fifth Pillar organization, U Nay Win Naing shared presentations on the concepts of the law, the legal definitions of male and female, the condition of sexual abuse laws in Myanmar and laws related to women.
