Yaung Chi Thit and DIPD organized Workplace Safety and Rights for Women workshop

The workshop on workplace safety and rights for women was jointly conducted by Yaung Chi Thit and DIPD at Grand Amara Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw on November 18, 2017. There were over 100 attendees, including representatives from concerned government ministries, members of parliament and civil society organizations. On 14 October 2017, She Leads alumnae organized We Stand Together Campaign at Kyaukchaunggyi village, Pathein Township, Irrawaddy Region with the purpose of raising awareness on the importance of more women leaders in politics and different levels of decision-making processes and gaining support from the community. Young Women’s Leadership Training conducted in Hpa-An

Module 2 Young Women’s Leadership training She Leads Program was held from November 27 to 30, 2017 in Pa-an, Kayin State. The training covered the topic of women’s leadership theories, intended for young women aged between 17 and 25, and was attended by young women from Tanintharyi region, Yangon region, Mon State, Kayin State and Bago region. High Level Conference on Sustainable Development Goal 5 conducted in Nay Pyi Taw

The High Level Conference on Sustainable Development Goal 5 was held at MICC 2 Hall in Nay Pyi Taw on 26 October 2017. In the conference, U Kyaw Win, Union Minister of Planning and Finance and Dr. Win Myat Aye, Union Minister for the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement delivered the opening remarks. The conference was conducted for 2 days from October 26 to October 27 2017, and Government Ministries/ Departments from across the country, invited representatives from International and Local organizations, and UN agencies attended the conferences.
