The third stakeholder conference on Labor Laws Reform held in Nay Pyi Taw

The third stakeholder conference on Labor Laws reform was held on January 17 and 18, 2018 at Kempinski Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw. The opening speech of the conference was delivered by U Thein Swe, Union Minister for the Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population. Then, U Myo Aung, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Labor, Immigration and Population explained the procedures for 2018-2019 fiscal year labor market reforms and the related road map. The attendees of the conference shared and discussed their views on how to improve the labor market and labor laws. On behalf of Yaung Chi Thit, director Daw Khin Hla attended the conference and discussed the law reform processes from the perspective of gender and gender equality.
